Tips for buying lingerie for your partner
Firstly:
You are buying for her not for you.
It may be tempting to buy what you’d like to see her in but she won’t relax and feel sensual if she feels uncomfortable or silly. She needs to feel good. If she feels good about herself she will get into the ‘mood’ more easily.
Some women, of course, make it obvious they like leather and crotch-less knickers but if you are not sure, Don’t do it!
Take her personality into account. You may be able to get her to wear items she doesn’t feel comfortable in but you can’t make her feel sexy or pretty.
If you are buying Lingerie as a gift and don’t know her size have a peek in her Lingerie draw. Check the tags and don’t forget to write the sizes down because if you think you’ll remember you can bet you won’t. On the bra there should be a number e.g. 38 and a letter e.g. D. Her size is therefore likely to be a size 38D. Choose one that you know she wears a lot in case her size changes from time to time.
Does she like a particular colour?
Don’t look just at her underwear but look at their outdoor clothes too. If you know she hates red don’t think she’ll like it just because you buy it for her.
Remember, she may try to like it but if she doesn’t feel right she’ll find it difficult to get in a sexy mood. If she has an assorted colour range of clothing it may be difficult but there are some rules that can apply. If you are purchasing via the Internet – which many men prefer to do – look at the models.
Girls with dark hair and skin may look better in strong colours such as purple. If you can’t make a decision black is usually safe.
If you feel comfortable going into a high street store don’t be afraid to ask for advice on this but don’t expect them to know your partner.
Think about who she is, and what she likes. You both gain!
